I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your business model and your defense of small businesses, fairness, and integrity. Reading through the forum, not only was very informative as to tools and resources I could use to improve my business, but reinforced my desire to support you and your business over the business of others (888guy & jsteppe aka:IP:24.62.225.102). Your honesty shines through to your customers. That is a successful e-business.

I love your site. It is so easy to find a number and quick too! There is nothing else out there on the market like it.
Before finding [your site] I was on the AT & T website for an entire day and could not find a single number. Within an hour of finding this site...I found hundreds of numbers to choose from!

As a new business having a viable phone number is imperative. Bill has been extremely helpful and we appreciate his "extra mile" assistance.

Starting a new business is always a crazy time. Thank you for making getting a new toll-free number easy and quick. Thanks also for all the good communications. I never had to ask a question because I'd already received the answer in your latest email.

Sometimes I spend hours just looking up different numbers on your site, Tell you what – IT’S FUN! I have already got two numbers from you, and referred your services to all of my friends and customers. I know few of them got numbers from you too. I do not expect “something? from you for my referrals, because I enjoy referring good services. I just want to say thanks for putting up this website and your services in general.

I had the 877 version of the number, but I didn't like the idea of losing calls. Especially when my clients need me right away most of the time and they need me so badly when they do need me, that I can't take chances with people's lives. When I saw that 800 FILE AWAY was available and that you could back order it for me, I was delighted. I have spoken to a couple of different companies and explored websites and you were the only one who offered the back order service. Thanks Bill!

Just a short note to let you know that getting a Vanity 800 number was very easy to do with your company. So far, everything is working as planned. Our website is not up and running yet, but we do anticipate the vanity number helping out a lot.

I was very happy with the experience of dealing with Tollfreenumbers.com. The numbers I searched for and found were delivered and up and running in a matter of hours not days. I was very pleased with the process and will use you again.
Thanks

I have bought 2 toll free numbers in the past 30 days and my experience was great. I can only wish other companies operate as you well as yours. Any prospective customers reading this testimonial should not be concerned about getting and transferring a toll-free number from you. I bought my first number on Monday and by Thursday, I had it transferred to the telco of my choice. I couldn't be happier. Your documentation is first-class. Thanks for walking me through what I thought was a difficult process.

Actually, you can point a toll free to a toll free with the carrier. The problem comes in losing the data between the two toll free numbers. If you are trying to track your calls or terminate at a call center, they won’t have any statistics available. We’ve had a company do this for us before.

No, you can’t point a toll free number DIRECTLY to another toll free number, to be more exact. The only way it’s possible is to either forward a toll free number to a local number that you forward to the second toll free number or to use an enhanced voicemail service which essentially points the toll free number to a voicemail platform which then forwards the calls out to the second toll free number.
Enhanced voicemail services can forward to a toll free number because it’s not actually pointing the toll free number directly to the second toll free number. Either way it has to go through an intermediary step because you can’t point a toll free number directly to another toll free number. The caller id information can be lost in this process because the caller id of the intermediary number may be sent to the secondary TF number.

How about this… If my toll-free # rings to my local #, can I use my local #’s call-forwarding to receive ALL calls (local and toll-free) on another phone (cell, etc.) when I’m away? I’m guessing, yes, but please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, any features that work on the local calls will work on the toll free calls. (ie. call forwarding, voicemail, roll overs, caller id etc)

Is there an existing tariff that prohibits transfer of 800 toll free calls
to another. I understand your logic,
but where is it written?

It’s not a rule, as much as just a fact of life. It’s just not physically possible to do, it’s not that we’re just not allowed to do it.
